From Golden State Warriors (9-24) vs Dallas Mavericks (20-10) at Chase Center in San Francisco, CA.
ON THE TEAM’S 4-1 HOME STAND:
“It was great for us, just coming out and find our rhythm, find our way and pay attention to the schemes whether it is offense or defense. Coming out 4-1 is good for us.”
ON HIS REBOUNDING IMPROVEMENT AS OF LATE:
“A little bit of it is just having a knack for the ball. If there is three pointers shot most of the time get to the elbow area. Long shots, long rebounds so that is something that we watch on film. I am just trying to do that or just knowing that if I am guarding a guy that likes to crash, just try to get him out of the picture early. Then come in there and steal a couple of rebounds. Fight to get the boards to start the break.”
ON WHETHER HE FEELS THAT THIS HOME STAND WAS SUCCESSFUL OVER THE LAST FEW DAYS:
“Not even just the last few days, a couple games before whatever it was the Knicks game we were down 20 in the first half and then came back and fought and it was just a matter of time before things started to click and schemes that we had set in. We would fight. We would play with pace, play hard. The Kings game, that wasn’t us but this is our first time and I think that its fitting that it happened on this home stand that we have had a full roster. Full of healthy guys knowing their roles. Knowing that the rotations were kind of set, guys going out there and just playing comfortable and having fun. It started the first home game here and we were trying to go 5-0 during this home stand but going 4-1 is a small moral victory.”
ON WHEN STRETCHER CAME ON THE FLOOR FOR D’ANGELO RUSSELL:
“It was tough. Everyone was around him not just our guys but the Mavs team as well. Just guys around him just praying and hoping that it was nothing too serious. Once he was able to get up on his own two feet I think that kind of gave everyone a little cy of relief knowing whatever was going on was going on. It wasn’t an instant where he had to be carried off.”
