Hello everyone, in this GameMaker Studio 2 Tutorial video we cover how to make a simple splash screen or start screen for your games. This is partly an image editing tutorial and how to use some cool features of Photoshop as well as how to turn those images into animations inside of GameMaker Studio 2. I’ll show you how to make a restart game button and how to make the game stay on the start screen until the player presses enter. We talk about persistance, why and when you need to use it, and and on what objects. We also talk about how the game loads maps, and how to quickly navigate from one map to another map. I’ll show you the way I stay organized by making folders and quickly go over project pathing. I show you how to quickly minimize all the menus on the workspace of GMS2, and some other various tips and tricks.
