Simeon Class of 2013 alums Jabari Parker and Kendall Pollard as well as former DePaul and NBA star Mark Aguirre were in the gym for Chicago’s biggest high school
basketball rivalry game: Simeon vs Morgan Park.
Simeon has struggled this season. Coach Rob Smith is currently away from the team for health reasons.
Morgan Park’s season started a little bumpy but they won 16 straight entering the game.
Adam Miller is playing as well as anyone in the Chicago area.
On this day, the star was senior Deshawndre Washington. The virtually unknown 6’5 guard scored 28 points to lead the Mustangs (21-3) to 70-52 win against host Simeon.
Adam Miller finished with 15 points, 5 rebounds. Big Karl Jones added 8 points, 9 rebounds and point guard Marcus Watson scored eight. The Mustangs only turned the ball over six times.
Simeon is now 12-12. Star Freshman Andre “AJ” Casey Jr led Simeon with 12 points, 7 rebounds.
We expect both teams to make runs in Chicago’s Public League city tournament in February!
Check out these raw highlights from Public League Red South rivalry matchup Chicago Morgan Park at Chicago Simeon.
Afterwards, watch the interview with Morgan Park star guard Adam Miller.

Back in the 80's and 90's this game would be sold 'OUT', Chicago basketball catholic and public schools were on 'FIRE' back in the day, but now it's just a game nothing more..

It’s crazy to watch both of these teams with just average players no one stood out at all….if these guys were all white people would be saying they are scrubs- why so many layups and not dunks? Strange

Simeon plays two freshmen and a sophomore. The upper classmen have played well but the young guys are, young. They'll be alright. Morgan Park is getting better and better. Should be a great city playoffs.

I heard Simeon basketball team was average this season and I couldn't believe it. I moved from Chicago like 8 years ago, and they always had the #1 basketball team in Chicago for as long as I could remember….
